Everything inside me is conflicted; the sorrow of losing someone you love and the excitement of what lies ahead can prove very difficult to balance. The circumstances in which a person comes to this conflict are never easy, but they can prove necessary for the long run of their life. Lonely is the path less traveled, but what is your integrity worth? Are you willing to suppress who you are deep down to appease others' feelings about you?
Living your life on your terms can seem so rebellious, yet it is all the media pretends they want everyone to aspire to be, yet when someone truly steps out of bounds, they will feel the wrath of society. People who supposedly care for you will encourage/coerce you to stick to the script, take the easy route, and just law low.
I do not see being normal as easy; to others, it may be, but I was raised to ask questions and not be afraid to be ostracized for what you believe to be accurate, especially if the evidence is on your side. Peer pressure is a powerful tool that genuinely drives everything individuals do in this society. If the larger society agrees upon something, it becomes true even if, as an individual, you know better majority rules.
